Dementia - It's one of the hardest things for someone to deal with. Most of us will experience some contact with it at sometime in our lives. I did, a few years ago when I helped look after my Mother. The hardest part being when she didn't know who I was. She played piano when she was younger. One day when I was doing "my shift". I was sitting working on some music with a small keyboard plugged into my laptop. She noticed this and her eyes lit up. I sat her down in front of it and she played like she had never stopped. Then after a while just sank back into the void of her own wee world. That image has stayed with me, and probably will, for the rest of my life. I wrote, "Gone", as a way to maybe let people know what I was going through then, and now. Many years on!

my fingers seem to know what to do
